During your weekend with us you can join our guided hikes through the majestic rock formations of the Khan and Swakop river valley, relax in peaceful tranquility under beautiful trees, ramble around in the beautiful area of our camp to watch the sunrise or sunset, take part in relaxing yin yoga and yoga nidra classes, enjoy learning different types of meditation and attend meditation sessions, simply read a book or jump into the swimming pool. Enjoy delicious homemade meals made with love, 5 star service & enjoy a weekend dedicated to yourself. Meet new people sharing the same interests or bring your friend(s).
Experience the peace and tranquility on the Khan and Swakop Rivers on foot. This area provides magnificent geological formations. We are able to offer you the untamed and harsh rocky landscapes carved deep into the Namib desert plains whilst having peace of mind that we are always close to our backup vehicle should we need it.
Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’.
Yin Yoga is slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. It is suitable for beginners and advanced.
Yoga Nidra, the yogic of sleep, is a practice that everyone, from children to seniors, can do. It’s easy to follow at any age. All that your body needs to do is lie down on the floor. When the state of deep relaxation is achieved, the benefits of this yogic practice can be seen as superior to ordinary rest. Research shows that one hour of Yoga Nidra can be equivalent to a few hours of sleep.
Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. You can also use it to relax and cope with stress by refocusing your attention on something calming. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace.
The activities are included in the price, but are not compulsory. If one day you don’t feel like doing something and prefer spending time with yourself or at the pool simply tell us.

Arrival time between 3 and 4 pm to choose your tent, settle in and meet the rest of the group, take a quick swim in the pool or do some stretching to get into the groove.
We supply all camping equipment including camp bed, mattress, sheet and bedding or bring your own bedding.
We leave our camp for an easy 5 km afternoon walk at 5 pm.
Before dinner we meet for a guided meditation during sunset. There is no experience required to join this experience – so no worries for meditation beginners.
Afterwards we have a welcome braai and enjoy the summer evening in the Namib desert. Feel free to bring drinks and your cooler box with ice.
We cater for all meal requirements. We do serve meat. Vegetarian & vegan options can be included if necessary.
Our Yovember camp will be set up by the backup team, so you can really enjoy yourself, your drinks and the beautiful atmosphere of this amazing weekend.
We enjoy coffee and rusks at first light before we head down the Khan River on foot.
The rock formations are truly a sight to see as we admire the sunrise.
Breakfast is served in a rock cave en route and will be ready for you. We take care of all logistics – you carry only your day bag.
Today is a manageable 12 km loop wilderness trail and the emphasis is on peace, tranquillity and the beauty of the area.
We look for fauna and flora during our trail and explore the unique rock formations.
Before lunch we offer a 30 minute guided meditation focused on stress reduction and increase of happiness. Anyone can attend this meditation – there is no experience required.
Lunch will be served afterwards and the afternoon is spent reading, relaxing, birdwatching, chatting or spending time with your new hiking and meditation friends and likeminded people.
We offer a yin yoga lesson followed by yoga nidra from 5 pm to 6.30 pm. Both is suitable for (total) newbies and the more experienced.
We enjoy a sundowner before a well deserved braai.
Tonight we hope to see the stars sparkle or make objects from the shadows of the moon.
With sunrise at 6.30 am we salut the new day with a gentle 60 minute Yin Yoga session followed by a 20 minute guided meditation. Both is suitable for all levels incl. beginners.
Afterwards we have some coffee and rusks and leave camp for our sunday morning 2 hour walk.
Back at camp we enjoy a scrumptious brunch before its time to pack & leave.
We will spend our time at the Moonlight Valley Camp 45 km outside of Swakopmund at the confluence of the Swakop and Khan River.
We set up our private Yovember Camp with fully equipped 2.1×2.1×2.1 tents with camp bed, mattress, sheet and bedding (or bring own bedding). There are hot showers, flushing toilets & power during the day, a swimming pool and our private yoga & meditation area.
There is no 4×4 required to get to the venue, we will meet at the camp on friday.

Food & drinks
All meals are included and made with love. Tea & coffee included.
Bring your own beverages, enough water for the hikes and what you need throughout the day. All soft drinks and alcohol for your own consumption. Fill up your cooler boxes with your favourites.
Please notice: there are no shops close by.
Level of experience for Yovember
Hiking: Hikers should be able to walk 12 km in 4 hours (saturday) . Mostly flat.
Yoga: Beginners level. We do mostly gentle Yin Yoga. Chad says: “Even I can do it!” :-))
Meditation: Beginners level.
N$ 3 500 pp sharing: so bring your partner or a friend and spend some quality time.
N$ 4 500 single tent for those who want more space & quietness.

What to bring for Yovember
small backpack (15 to 30 ltr) hiking clothes incl. boots, snacks / sweeties, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, towel, swimwear & extra towel, something warm, yoga mat or extra towel, torch or headlamp, own bedding if you wish, drinking water (water at the camp might taste brackish), soft drinks, cooler box with ice and your drinks/sundowners, personal and medical items.
Please wear comfortable clothes for the yoga and meditation. There is no specific dresscode.
