The Mother and the Father

Sacred Union: Some texts don’t demand interpretation β€” they simply land.

The Mother and the Father is one of those.

Rooted in something old, steady, and deeply human, it speaks of balance, presence, and quiet strength.

I’m sharing this today in dedication to my mother, who would have turned 78 today.

For what she embodied, and for what continues to live on.

Before there was anything, there was the One.

And the One became two so it could know itself.

Masculine and feminine. Stillness and movement. Consciousness and energy. The witness and the dance.

Not two separate things.

Two faces of the same infinite reality.

The inhale and the exhale of God.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

π—§π—›π—˜ π—™π—”π—§π—›π—˜π—₯

The masculine is the ground of being.

Pure consciousness. Pure awareness. The unchanging presence in which all change appears.

It is the silence beneath all sound.

It is the stillness at the center of the storm.

It is the witness that watches without grasping.

In Vedanta, this is Shiva. Pure consciousness. Sat-Chit-Ananda. Being-Consciousness-Bliss.

In Christianity, this is the Father. The I AM. The eternal presence that simply is.

In Kabbalah, this is the Ein Sof. The infinite. The boundless. The source before manifestation.

The masculine does not move. It does not create. It does not dance.

It is the space in which all movement happens.

It is the canvas on which all creation is painted.

It is the screen on which all movies play.

Without the masculine, there would be no witness to experience.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

π—§π—›π—˜ π— π—’π—§π—›π—˜π—₯

The feminine is the power of becoming.

Pure energy. Pure creativity. The dynamic force that births all worlds.

It is the movement that arises from stillness.

It is the sound that emerges from silence.

It is the dance that plays across the witness.

In Vedanta, this is Shakti. The creative power. The mother of the universe. The energy that makes consciousness alive.

In Christianity, this is the Holy Spirit. The breath of God. The presence that moves. The power that creates and transforms.

In Kabbalah, this is the Shekhinah. The divine feminine presence. The indwelling glory. The mother who never abandons her children.

The feminine moves. The feminine creates. The feminine dances.

She is the reason anything exists at all.

She takes the infinite potential of the masculine and births it into form.

Without the feminine, consciousness would have nothing to witness.

Here is what the sages knew:

You cannot have one without the other.

Shiva without Shakti is 𝘴𝘩𝘒𝘷𝘒 β€” a corpse. Consciousness without energy is inert. Awareness with nothing to be aware of.

Shakti without Shiva is chaos. Energy without consciousness is movement with no meaning. Creation with no witness.

They need each other.

They complete each other.

They are each other.

The masculine is the feminine at rest.

The feminine is the masculine in motion.

They are not two forces in competition.

They are one reality in eternal embrace.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Look around you.

Everything you see is the union of masculine and feminine.

The tree standing still while its leaves dance in the wind.

The mountain unmoved while the river flows around it.

The space of the sky holding the movement of clouds.

Your own being β€” the awareness that watches, the energy that moves.

This whole world is their lovemaking.

This whole universe is their child.

Every form is the feminine.

Every witness is the masculine.

And they are never, ever separate.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

π—§π—›π—˜ π—œπ— π—•π—”π—Ÿπ—”π—‘π—–π—˜ π—ͺπ—˜ π—Ÿπ—œπ—©π—˜ π—œπ—‘

For too long, we have lived in a world that honors the masculine and dismisses the feminine.

We have worshipped the Father and forgotten the Mother.

We have valued consciousness and denigrated matter.

We have elevated mind and suppressed body.

We have praised stillness and shamed emotion.

We have built religions around a God who is only β€œHe” and wondered why the world feels so cold.

This is half a God.

This is half a life.

This is why we feel so incomplete.

We have been trying to breathe with only one lung.

We have been trying to walk with only one leg.

We have been trying to love with only half a heart.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

She is returning.

You can feel it.

The feminine is rising. Not to dominate. Not to replace. To restore balance.

She is returning in the call to feel, not just think.

She is returning in the honoring of the body, not just the mind.

She is returning in the respect for the earth, not just the sky.

She is returning in every person who refuses to suppress their emotions any longer.

She is returning in every movement that says: life is sacred, matter is holy, the body is a temple.

She never left. She was just buried. Silenced. Shamed.

And she is rising now because we cannot survive without her.

I honor the Father.

The silent awareness that is the ground of my being. The witness that watches. The stillness that holds. The consciousness that I am before I am anything else.

I bow to Shiva. To the Father. To the Ein Sof. To the I AM.

I honor the Mother.

The creative energy that moves through me. The power that births. The dance that celebrates. The force that turns potential into form.

I bow to Shakti. To the Divine Mother. To the Shekhinah. To the Holy Spirit.

I do not choose between them.

I cannot choose between them.

They are not separate.

They are the two hands of the One, and both hands are needed to hold this life.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

π—œπ—‘ 𝗬𝗒𝗨

The masculine and feminine are not just cosmic principles.

They are in you.

The awareness reading these words β€” that is your masculine. The witness. The presence. The one who simply is.

The feeling arising as you read β€” that is your feminine. The energy. The movement. The one who dances.

You are both.

You have always been both.

You are Shiva and Shakti in one body.

You are Father and Mother in one soul.

The sacred union is not something you seek outside yourself.

It is something you recognize within.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

π—§π—›π—˜ π—ͺ𝗒π—₯π—Ÿπ—— π—ͺπ—˜ 𝗔π—₯π—˜ π—•π—¨π—œπ—Ÿπ——π—œπ—‘π—š

The new world will honor both.

It will value presence and creativity.

It will respect stillness and movement.

It will bow to consciousness and celebrate matter.

It will teach our children that God is not just Father. God is Mother too. God is both and neither and beyond all categories.

It will remember that the earth is not a resource to exploit β€” she is the body of the Mother, and she is sacred.

It will know that emotions are not weakness β€” they are the feminine moving through us, and she deserves to move.

It will balance.

Not by making everything the same.

By honoring the difference within the unity.

Masculine and feminine. Father and Mother. Stillness and dance.

Both. Always both.

The Mother and the Father

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗣π—₯π—”π—¬π—˜π—₯

To the Father β€” the eternal witness, the silent ground, the unchanging presence β€” I bow.

To the Mother β€” the creative power, the sacred dance, the force that births all worlds β€” I bow.

To the One who is both and neither β€” the mystery beyond all names β€” I bow.

May we remember what we forgot.

May we honor what we dismissed.

May we bring into balance what we tore apart.

May we know ourselves as the union of stillness and movement, consciousness and energy, masculine and feminine.

May we become whole.
